Description

Acid Wash

Crazed confusion converging into chaotic creativity, all for the purpose of encapsulating that one truth: evolution. The junction is on the horizon. Do you stay the course or take on a new journey, a new challenge?.

Evolve.

Notes

The sketch for this was conceived during the creation of "REBEL". It started as a simple idea to convey speed and motion, and was originally intended for color. However, this was scraped and I took a more minimalistic approach, carefully balancing only 3 colors, (black, white and yellow). Possibly one of my better mech designs thus far. Here are some points of interest:

-The cog is indicative to invention and, in some instances, thought. It's a motif of technological evolution in contrast to the very high-tech subject.

-Though I never decided to give the 'bot a name, I code named him "ACID" during the creation process. The name stuck and is thus used in the title, which has no other meaning implied. However, feel free to come to your own conclusions.

-"Acid's" overall body structure design was inspired by track runners. His feet, though resemblant of sneakers, were actually inspired by Kawasaki Motorcycles.

-This image is 100% NOT vectored; all Photoshop7. Every piece in this image was created from scratch.

-The logo in the bottom right is my own logo called "Skull Soldier". I will release a larger version in the near future (possibly revised since the one here is kinda old).

A print will be pending for this image.

Hands down one of the sleekest, most stylish and most creative robot designs I've ever seen. Especially loving the spikiness, the leg and foot designs, the asymmetry on the legs and the fact that you were able to make it so expressive with such a narrow selection of colors. Really awesome man!
